Prep & Pre-Light, Early Load In

8 Hour booking intended for load in, prep and pre-light. No shooting is permitted on prep days but camera and lighting tests are permitted.
No equipment rentals are included in this price. -

For $300, you can use the pre-hung 5 x P600C cyc lights on the pre-light day.

Schedule permitting, it may be possible to either drop off equipment, proper, sets, etc the evening before your rental or leave these items at the studio overnight after your rental and retrieve them the next morning.

A report can also be provided to you upon request that shows a breakdown of usage.Typically a production shooting for around 12 hours, using the cyc lighting and around 2500W of additional LED lighting could expect a bill of around $30-$40.

Paint Fees

This is the “standard” paint option. If your production required a standard looking white seamless, this is all that is required.

This is a refresh of the entire cyc, including floor, transition and walls. This would be the option if you need a pristine white cyc head to toe. If you need to do extreme wides this may be required.
It is understood that your production will scuff the floor and possibly the transition, but if the activities during your production scuff higher up on the cyc wall, you may be required to pay this paint fee. -
This is the paint fee to paint the entire cyc chroma green or blue, or any other bright to mid colour. This includes a return to white.

This is the paint fee to paint the entire cyc black or another dark colour that would be difficult to return to white. This includes a return to white.
Grip PackageS

A small grip package suitable for small setups like talking heads or interviews. Suitable for 750 mount fixtures.

A large grip package that is suitable for anything from small to large setups. Includes stands in 750 and 2K, frames from 4x4 to 20x20 and many assorted clamps and rigging.
The studios entire inventory of grip less any specialty items is included in this package.
Lighting Package

~ 1000W of output with basic modifiers and support.
Ideal for simply interview setups.
Not adequate for full head to toe setups on seamless. -
~5000W of output. Ideal for mid sized setups some minimal movement across the seamless. Capable of doing full head to toe on the cyc, but not with extreme movement.

Over 25,000W of output. All of our fixtures except our specialty lighting. 1200D is the largest fixture in this package. Ideal for big setups or when the production needs flexibility

No Budget Is Too Tough, Let’s Talk
The posted rates are calculated based on factors including current industry standard pricing that can be found at other studios throughout Ontario, Canada. Having said that, Tiny Horse Film Studios are committed to ensuring that access to our studio facilities and network have a low barrier to entry in order to serve our diverse community of creators. If you have a project in mind that you think might be a good fit with us, but do not have the budget to meet these posted rates, please do not hesitate to contact us and open up a dialogue. We believe our studio and production resources are essential to serving the needs of creators in our community and we interested in building this community together.
Rental FAQ

Yes. Anyone who rents the studio and/or equipment is required to provide us with a certificate of insurance. The full insurance requirements are as follows:
$2,000,000 in General Commercial Liability coverage
$2,000,000 in Third Party Property Damage coverage
Coverage for the repair/replacement cost of any rented equipment
Tiny Horse Film Studios must be named in certificate as “Loss Payee”

Yes. We require a 50% deposit of the estimated booking cost to be paid in full before any dates will be held. The balance will be due NET 30 from the first day of your rental.

You can cancel your booking and receive a full refund on your deposit as long as you cancel sooner than 72 hours before your rental. This may exclude any sub-rentals or speciality items.
If you cancel with less than 72 hours notice, your deposit will only be partially refunded at the discretion of THFS. -
Yes! During your rental there may not be studio staff on the premises but you will always be able to get ahold of the studio manager if you have any questions.
Additionally we can provide a grip, electric, camera swing at a rate of $500/D (11 + 1).
This tech has industry experience and a thorough understanding of studio equipment and best practices. Together, your production will be safe and efficient. -
The studio can be booked up to 24 hours a day.

We prefer e-transfers, but are open to other methods of payment.
Wire transfer is available, however there is a $17 fee per transfer. Credit Card payments are available with a 3% surcharge.
