Cyclorama
The key feature of the studio is our 34’ x 22’ seamless cyclorama or cyc for short. The cyc has a left hand cove on the short side offering plenty of flexibility for frame size, camera moves and one screen action. Topping out at just under 16’ it’s tall and large enough to park and shoot a full sized vehicle but small enough to light and shoot quickly!
Pre-Lit GRid
Above the studio floor is our 4x8 lighting grid. Secured to the studios I-beam, the grid sits at 16’, a height that can be safely and easily accessed using a ladder instead of a scissor lift. There are 4 x 20amp dedicated circuits placed strategically in the ceiling excluding a dedicated circuit for our pre-hung cyc lights. The cyc can come pre-lit with 5 x Aputure P600C RGBWW LED panels. This is enough light to achieve an F 5.6 at an ISO of 800 at 60FPS.

Our space features a convenient garage door for easy loading and unloading, perfect for accommodating picture vehicles or large equipment. Strategically located off the highway, with ample parking available, our studio ensures hassle-free logistics for your productions.

Tiny Horse Film Studios aim to be a turnkey provider! We have a large arsenal of on-site lighting and grip that can be rented for any production. This makes setup and tear down fast and convenient!

Ceilings are 18’ high. The I-beam extends down to just above 16’ meaning the grid is hung at ~ 16’

The cyc is 34’ long 22’ wide and 16’ high with a left hand cove. The transition from the ground to the wall is very gradual meaning you can get a true seamless look.

The studio is equipped with a 3-phase 200 amp service. There are 6 x 20amp circuits on the studio floor as well as 4 x 20amp circuits in the grid. The 5 x pre-hung cyc lights are on their own dedicated 208v circuit. There is also 2 x 60amp circuit terminated in a Joy connection on the studio floor. Cabling and distro for this connection can be rented from us.

For a studio of this size the sound is excellent. The room itself has very little ambient noise. We have contained our transformer noise using a sound treated room so it is not audible in any sound recording. The studio has a brand new HVAC system that makes noise, but simple needs to be turned off between takes. We are in a very quiet part of the city set away from any busy roads. The street itself is seldom used so traffic noise is very rare. We have a great relationship with all of our neighbouurs. They know that sound is very important to our business so on the rare occasion they are making noise in their units we can work it out with them on your behalf.

Yes! The studio can supply an in house technician that can work as a Grip, Electric and Camera swing for your production. This technician will have intimate knowledge of the studio and on-site equipment so hiring them could assist your production with speed and efficiency.
